Yes and No, the reason for the binary answer is, damage is subjective. Mounting TVs is generally an intrusive process where holes need to be drilled into the surface in order to properly mount the TV.
However, the amount of damage from making the holes will depend on a range of factosrs from the skill of the TV mounting technician to the types of screws used.
When dealing with a professional however, you can expect these holes not to exceed a half inch at the most.
